The German Corporate Governance Code (GCGC) has recently been extensively changed: in addition to post-legislative adjustments to the GCGC, on the one hand the sustainability requirements for the Executive Board and Supervisory Board are included in the Code and made more specific. On the other hand, the work of the audit committee is again the focus and was further developed following the FISG. With the announcement in the Bundesanzeiger on 27 June 2022,executive and supervisory boards of listed companies must also declare their compliance with these new recommendations in their next regular Declaration of Conformity.
